Ocular Confusion was painted in many shades of red, orange and yellow. When I look at it, it makes me feel on edge but peaceful at the same time. Are the lines straight? Are the lines skewed? I'll let you decide!
When I showed this piece to a good friend, he immediately dubbed it with the name of Technicolor Barcode. Lot's of opposing vibrant colors that seem to go together in a way that wants me to keep looking at it. This one is one of my favorites.
Tough Terrain consists of three colors. Black, white and a thin purple line to separate the two opposing colors. No frame is needed as the pattern is carried through to the sides. Created on a wooden cradled frame.
I really love space and the unknown. There's something about the Veil Nebula that draws me in. There are many pictures of the Veil Nebula from Hubble and I imagined being somewhere in the heart of this nebula when painting this piece.
